Top 10 hotels in Venice | Venice is a dream – that here, the overnight stay prices are high should thus not surprise anybody. As everywhere in the booming cities of tourism, the prices are almost exclusively based on supply and demand or season and off-season, whereas the season in the lagoon city lasts 9-10 months. But those who also want to experience the somewhat quieter Venice and enjoy the evening flair in the alleyways, restaurants, and bars should already think about spending the night in the center between the narrow alleyways and canals in this unique city. To get to the old hotel palace Hotel Cavalletto (photo above) after a walkover many bridges is also part of the experience of Venice, even if it might be a little expensive at this time.
Note: The hotels presented here are all located in the historic centre of Venice, so there is NO additional entrance fee to Venice when booking. Everything you need to know about this can be found in the article – Entrance to Venice

Further information about the hotels in Venice
Staying overnight in Venice is expensive. Cheaper accommodation in the city center can be found in the relevant booking systems, whereby the price-performance ratio must also be considered here. Cheaper accommodation is also available on the mainland in the district of Mestre, suggested below in my hotel recommendations. Here, a lot of Venice tourists stay overnight, as the accommodations here are cheaper than in the historic old town of Venice. From Mestre, you can also reach the tourist center of Venice quickly by public transport. As an alternative to my top 10 hotel recommendations, there are some suggestions in my article Hotel recommendations.
Quietly and partly also a little cheaper one can also stay overnight on a lagoon island or at the Lido di Venezia. As here, the arrival and departure and the transfer to the center of Venice are more time-consuming, this interesting overnight accommodation is only recommended to visitors who want to spend several days in the lagoon city. The articles about the unique lagoon islands of Murano, Burano, Torcello and the Lido di Venezia, which is well worth a visit, all include tips for accommodation. Those who are looking for proximity to the water should read all about the rather unknown Chioggia.
On this page, you will find everything about airport transfer and parking and here you will find everything about the culinary Venice.
