Visit the Doge’s Palace in Venice
In the Doge’s Palace, you can walk around freely. This includes the magnificent interiors that once served as the meeting and entertainment places of the Republic of Venice, where important decisions were made. You can freely enter the Hall of the Grand Council and the Doge’s apartment too.
In the latter, you will search in vain for the furniture. Each Doge took his own with him after his term of office. The visit to the prisons spread over the two buildings complexes will remain a special memory for you.

On 25 December and 1 January, the Doge’s Palace may be closed or there may be variable opening hours. Check on site if necessary! Towards evening, the flow of visitors ebbs somewhat, but waiting times are still to be expected on many days.
